Stan is a registered Architect in both Maine and New Hampshire. Stan was fortunate to study under Dutch Architect, Han Schröder—one of the lead designers of the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Schröder House. He also had the privilege of working with Roy Vollmer—a Project Architect with Louis Kahn, who was a well-known modernist architect from Pennsylvania.
Stan had the vision to create an integrated discipline, architectural design practice—he founded Gawron Turgeon Architects in 1983 and has since served as Principal in Charge for all architectural and landscape projects. His background and love of the arts with a degree in architecture lead him to design two firsts in Maine: an Intermediate/MR Care facility and also the largest Continuum of Care Community. In his 35+ years as a registered architect, Stan has worked on design, planning, detailing, contract administration and management of a large variety of projects, giving his clients a unique and well-rounded perspective.
Stan has led his team to many awards. His good nature coupled with his keen sense of understanding clients’ visions, mean that clients return to GTA, project after project. Stan ensures optimum team performance and 100% client satisfaction.
Stan is also an award-winning watercolor artist with his work on exhibit throughout New England. He is an avid dog lover and caring husband and father.
